Bookkeeper

AYC Accountants is seeking a detail-oriented and organized Bookkeeper to join our growing team.

The ideal candidate will have experience maintaining accurate financial records, performing reconciliations, managing day-to-day bookkeeping functions, and supporting multiple clients in a professional services environment.

We are looking for someone who is dependable, proactive, and comfortable working independently while collaborating with team members when needed.

Key Responsibilities:

• Maintain accurate financial records for multiple clients
• Perform bank and credit card reconciliations
• Record and categorize financial transactions
• Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable
• Assist with month-end close procedures
• Review financial data for accuracy and completeness
• Maintain organized client files and supporting documentation
• Communicate with clients regarding bookkeeping requests and missing information
• Assist the accounting team with additional bookkeeping and administrative tasks as needed

Requirements

• Bookkeeper experience and accounting and finance experience, with knowledge of bookkeeping, accounting, financial concepts, and technical accounting.
• Experience with accounting software such as QuickBooks Desktop, QuickBooks Online, Zoho, familiarity with spreadsheets is also useful.
• Understanding of payroll processing, account reconciliation, and financial report writing.
• Knowledge of corporate, non-profit, or public accounting is helpful; these are preferred areas, not all required.
• Ability to work carefully with accounting systems, financial software, and detailed records.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience working with multiple clients
• Accounting degree or related studies
• Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred
• Experience in a public accounting environment

Pay: $21.00 per hour
