About the Role:

Perigee Manufacturing Company, Inc. is looking for a detail-oriented Bookkeeper to join our team in Detroit, MI! This is a fantastic opportunity to play a key financial role in a dynamic manufacturing environment where your accuracy and expertise will directly support our operations and growth.

Responsibilities:

• Maintain accurate financial records including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger entries
• Process invoices, payments, and expense reports in a timely manner
• Perform bank and account reconciliations on a regular basis
• Assist with payroll processing and ensure compliance with applicable regulations
• Generate financial reports and summaries for management review
• Monitor and track inventory-related financial transactions in support of manufacturing operations
• Support month-end and year-end closing processes

Requirements:

• Proven experience as a Bookkeeper or in a similar accounting role
• Experience with QuickBooks Desktop (minimum of 5 years required)
• Proficiency in bookkeeping software such as QuickBooks, Sage, or similar platforms
• Strong knowledge of basic accounting principles and financial reporting
• Experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment is required
• High attention to detail and strong organizational skills
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines with minimal supervision
• Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required
