About the Role

We are looking for an experienced Bookkeeper with hands-on experience in US Accounting and Bookkeeping Operations. The ideal candidate should have expertise in Bookkeeping, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Bank Reconciliation, Credit Card Reconciliation, General Ledger Accounting, Journal Entries, and Month-End Bookkeeping, while ensuring accurate financial records and compliance with US accounting practices.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day bookkeeping activities for US-based clients/entities.
• Record financial transactions and maintain accurate books of accounts.
• Process Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) transactions.
• Perform Bank Reconciliations, Credit Card Reconciliations, and General Ledger Reconciliations.
• Prepare and post journal entries, accruals, and accounting adjustments.
• Maintain General Ledger accounts and supporting schedules.
• Support month-end and year-end bookkeeping activities.
• Review financial records to identify discrepancies and resolve accounting issues.
• Assist in preparing financial reports and management reports.
• Maintain complete accounting documentation and support internal and external audits.
• Ensure compliance with US GAAP, company policies, and internal controls.
• Identify opportunities to improve bookkeeping processes and financial record management.

Key Software

Hands-on experience with one or more of the following is preferred:

• QuickBooks Online
• QuickBooks Desktop
• Xero
• Sage
• NetSuite
• Zoho Books
• Oracle
• SAP
• Microsoft Dynamics 365

Experience with other accounting or bookkeeping software will also be considered.

Qualifications & Skills

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Commerce, Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• CA or CA Inter will be an added advantage.
• 38 years of experience in Bookkeeping, General Accounting, or US Accounting.
• Experience supporting US accounting processes or US-based clients preferred.
• Strong understanding of bookkeeping principles and accounting fundamentals.
• Strong analytical, reconciliation, and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent written and verbal English communication skills.
• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel / Google Sheets.
