Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related field
• 3-5 years of accounting experience
• Experience in local accounting or supporting international clients
• Experience in Australian accounting is an advantage but not required
• Experience using Xero or QuickBooks is preferred
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Outlook, Word, and PowerPoint
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Strong organizational and time-management skills
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining accuracy
• Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively with teammates and clients

Responsibilities

Accounts Payable

• Process and record vendor invoices.
• Verify invoice accuracy and obtain the required approvals.
• Prepare and complete payments within established timelines.
• Reconcile accounts payable transactions and resolve discrepancies.
• Maintain accurate and organized vendor transaction records.

Accounts Receivable

• Monitor and manage accounts receivable, including collection activities.
• Reconcile customer accounts and resolve discrepancies.
• Collaborate with sales and customer service teams to address billing inquiries.
• Record customer payments accurately and promptly.

Payroll

• Assist with payroll processing while ensuring accuracy and regulatory compliance.
• Collaborate with HR to address employee payroll inquiries.
• Reconcile payroll transactions and prepare related journal entries.

General Ledger Maintenance

• Maintain and update the general ledger with accurate financial information.
• Prepare journal entries and complete monthly account reconciliations.
• Support month-end and year-end closing processes.

Financial Reporting

• Assist with preparing financial statements and reports.
• Conduct variance analyses and provide insights into financial performance.
• Ensure compliance with applicable accounting standards and regulations.

Process Improvement

• Identify opportunities to improve processes and enhance operational efficiency.
• Collaborate with team members to implement best practices.
• Monitor changes in accounting regulations and update processes accordingly.

Additional Responsibilities

• Perform assigned functions, duties, and responsibilities to the best of your ability.
• Follow reasonable instructions issued by the company's authorized representatives.
• Complete other administrative or operational duties assigned by authorized company representatives.
