Bookkeeper (part-time)

Responsibilities:

Perform bookkeeping duties for church and school

• Accounts Payable
• School Accounts Receivable setup, billing, and reconciliation
• Payroll coordination with benefits provider and provide payroll data to processing
• company
• Bank account reconciliation
• Maintain general ledger
• Monthly and yearend closings

Provide financial reports to church council and school board

• School tuition report
• Cash analysis
• Prepare reports monthly, quarterly, annually, and as needed

Work with Parish Administrator to maintain employee benefit elections

Provide data for budget preparation

Qualifications:

• Bookkeeping Certificate or Accounting degree (Associate or Bachelor) or equivalent experience
• Prior bookkeeping experience
• Proficient in accounting software packages as well as Microsoft Excel and Word
• Effective interpersonal and customer service skills
• Work well in a team environment

• Experience with school computer applications Procare and TeacherEase or comparable
• Membership in a national bookkeeper association

Compensation commensurate with experience

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: From $29,000.00 per year

Expected hours: 20.0 – 30.0 per week
