About Us

Latino Business Services LLC is a professional accounting and business services firm located in Salem, Oregon. We provide bookkeeping, payroll, tax preparation, and business consulting services to small businesses.

Approximately 90% of our clients are Spanish-speaking. We are looking for a reliable, detail-oriented Bookkeeping Assistant who has accounting knowledge and can communicate confidently in Spanish.

Fluent Spanish is required. Advanced English proficiency is not required. Basic English skills sufficient to understand financial documents and navigate accounting software are preferred.

Responsibilities

• Enter and accurately categorize financial transactions.
• Perform bank and credit card reconciliations.
• Assist with monthly bookkeeping for multiple business clients.
• Record and review income, expenses, and other accounting transactions.
• Identify missing, duplicate, or incorrectly categorized transactions.
• Maintain organized financial records and documentation.
• Assist with preparing Profit & Loss and Balance Sheet reports.
• Help bring outstanding bookkeeping accounts up to date.
• Communicate with the bookkeeping manager and Spanish-speaking clients as needed.
• Maintain strict confidentiality of client financial information.

Qualifications

• Fluent Spanish (spoken and written) is required.
• Previous bookkeeping or accounting experience preferred.
• Knowledge of basic accounting principles.
• Experience with bank and credit card reconciliations.
• Familiarity with QuickBooks Desktop or QuickBooks Online preferred.
• Basic Microsoft Excel and computer skills.
• Ability to understand basic accounting terminology and financial documents in English.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Ability to follow procedures and work independently after training.
• Reliable attendance and consistent availability.

Accounting education or previous experience working with small business financial records is highly valued.
