Bookkeeping Specialist

About the role

This is an entry-level Bookkeeping Specialist role that combines core bookkeeping responsibilities with foundational training, mentorship, and leadership development opportunities. You will work under senior guidance to build your accounting skills while developing the mindset to grow into a Team Leader as financial operations expand.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain accurate ledgers and support daily transaction recording
• Assist with accounts payable/receivable (AP/AR) workflows under senior guidance
• Help perform regular bank, credit card, and ledger reconciliations while learning to proactively spot and resolve discrepancies
• Assist in compiling data for clean monthly financial summaries and basic balance sheets
• Coordinate clearly and professionally with clients, colleagues, and vendors
• Shadow established workflows and help document standard operating procedures (SOPs)
• Build foundational skills to eventually mentor future junior staff

About you

• Graduate with a Bachelor's or Associate's degree in Accountancy, Accounting Technology, Finance, or any related field
• Eager and adaptable to learn cloud-based accounting platforms like QuickBooks and Xero
• Solid understanding of basic accounting principles and double-entry bookkeeping
• High accuracy and strong attention to detail
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
• Must own a reliable personal laptop/PC with minimum specs: Core i5 processor or above with at least 8GB RAM
• Bonus: Certified Bookkeeper (CB) status or active QuickBooks ProAdvisor / Xero Advisor Certifications
