Job Description

We are looking for an experienced Powder Coating Booth Operator with hands-on knowledge of powder coating operations, powder quality, and paint-room activities in a manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate and monitor powder coating booths and electrostatic spray guns.
• Ensure uniform powder application, proper coating thickness, and surface finish.
• Check powder quality, colour consistency, and coating appearance.
• Monitor powder coating parameters, including gun settings, air pressure, and powder flow.
• Coordinate with the pretreatment and curing oven teams to maintain coating quality.
• Identify and report coating defects such as orange peel, pinholes, uneven coating, poor adhesion, and colour variation.
• Perform colour changeovers, booth cleaning, and powder recovery activities.
• Maintain cleanliness and follow safety procedures in the powder coating and paint-room areas.
• Support quality inspections and reduce coating rework and rejection.

Required Skills

• Hands-on experience in powder coating booth operation.
• Knowledge of electrostatic spray guns and powder handling.
• Understanding of coating defects and basic quality checks.
• Knowledge of DFT (Dry Film Thickness) measurement is preferred.
• Experience in automotive, sheet metal, fabrication, or industrial manufacturing is preferred.

Candidate Profile

Candidates with practical experience in powder coating operations, paint-room activities, powder quality, and surface finishing are preferred.
