Boring Operator

Job Summary

We are seeking a motivated and skilled Boring Operator to join our construction team. You will be responsible for operating specialized boring equipment to install underground utilities and infrastructure efficiently and safely. Your expertise will help ensure that projects are completed on time, within scope, and in full compliance with safety standards. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work on diverse construction sites, utilizing heavy machinery and utility locating techniques to support infrastructure development.

Duties

• Operate boring machines and related heavy equipment such as excavators, loaders, backhoes, and water trucks to perform underground utility installations.
• Conduct routine maintenance and safety checks on construction machinery, ensuring all equipment operates smoothly and safely.
• Follow federal construction safety regulations and equipment safety procedures to maintain a secure work environment at all times.
• Perform utility locating tasks to accurately identify underground utilities before commencing boring operations, preventing damage or accidents.
• Assist with excavation and grading activities to prepare sites for boring operations, ensuring precise alignment and depth.
• Maintain detailed records of equipment usage, maintenance activities, and project progress in accordance with construction site protocols.
• Collaborate with team members to coordinate tasks efficiently, adhering to construction schedules and safety standards.

Pay: $25.00 - $30.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40.0 per week
