Bottle Return Supervisor

Job Summary

Looking for a highly motivated individual with excellent customer service skills that has previous experience working at a Bottle Return and can manage others and also be hands on working along side the employees. We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Bottle Return Supervisor to lead our bottle recycling and return operations within our distribution center. Responsibilities

• Supervise daily bottle return activities, ensuring accurate processing of returned containers using inventory management systems and RF scanners.
• Lead and motivate a team of warehouse associates, providing guidance, training, and performance feedback to foster a high-performing work environment.
• Coordinate shipping and receiving tasks related to bottle returns, ensuring timely movement of materials through warehouse management systems.
• Oversee inventory control procedures, conducting regular audits to maintain accuracy and prevent loss or discrepancies.
• Operate material handling equipment such as forklifts safely to facilitate the movement of large volumes of returned bottles.
• Implement process improvements aligned with lean management principles to enhance efficiency, reduce waste, and streamline warehouse operations.
• Ensure compliance with OSHA regulations and safety protocols during all warehouse activities, including heavy lifting and materials handling.
• Collaborate with logistics teams and third-party logistics providers (3PL) to optimize distribution center operations and support overall supply chain goals.

Skills

• Proven experience in warehouse distribution, logistics, or distribution center operations with a focus on inventory management systems.
• Strong leadership skills with previous warehouse supervisor or team management experience.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications for reporting and communication purposes.
• Skilled in operating warehouse management systems (WMS), RF scanners, and materials handling equipment such as forklifts.
• Knowledge of OSHA safety standards related to warehouse operations and heavy lifting procedures.
• Ability to implement process improvements using lean management techniques to boost productivity.
• Excellent managerial communication skills for effective team leadership and coordination with cross-functional departments.
• Familiarity with shipping & receiving processes, inventory control practices, and materials handling best practices within a warehouse setting.
