BOX MAKER

Key responsibilities

• Operate box-making machinery and equipment to cut, fold and assemble corrugated cardboard and other packaging materials according to specified dimensions and designs
• Monitor production output to ensure boxes meet quality standards, including proper alignment, structural integrity and aesthetic finish
• Inspect completed boxes for defects, damage or irregularities, and segregate any substandard products
• Maintain accurate production records and report on daily output volumes and any issues encountered
• Perform routine maintenance and cleaning of machinery to ensure optimal performance and safety
• Follow all safety protocols and wear appropriate personal protective equipment whilst operating machinery
• Collaborate with team members to meet production targets and deadlines
• Respond to feedback from supervisors and make adjustments to production processes as required

What we're looking for

• Proven experience as a Box Maker or in a similar packaging manufacturing role within the warehousing, storage and distribution industry
• Proficiency in operating box-making machinery and production equipment
• Strong attention to detail with the ability to identify and rectify quality issues
• Ability to work efficiently whilst maintaining high safety and quality standards
• Good physical stamina and capability to perform manual handling tasks regularly
• Reliability and punctuality, with a strong work ethic and commitment to meeting production schedules
• Basic mathematical skills to understand measurements and specifications
• Willingness to learn and adapt to new processes and technologies
• Experience with machinery maintenance and troubleshooting is advantageous
