Job Summary

Responsibilities

• Safely operate a box truck (Class C license required) to transport goods to various locations while adhering to all traffic regulations and DOT (Department of Transportation) standards.
• Load and unload cargo using manual handling techniques, pallet jacks, or material handling equipment while following safe lifting practices.
• Conduct pre-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure it is in optimal condition before each route.
• Manage delivery schedules efficiently by planning routes using mobile devices or GPS tools to optimize driving time and fuel consumption.
• Provide excellent customer service by delivering goods promptly, answering questions professionally, and addressing any delivery issues or concerns.
• Assist with warehouse operations when necessary, including moving items within the warehouse using manual handling equipment such as pallet jacks or carts.
• Maintain accurate delivery documentation, logs, and records of all inbound and outbound shipments.

Experience

• Proven experience as a delivery driver or courier with a focus on commercial driving and route management.
• Warehouse experience including material handling, moving heavy loads, and operating equipment like pallet jacks or forklifts is preferred.
• Familiarity with manual transmission vehicles (if applicable) and safe driving practices on city streets and highways.
• Knowledge of DOT regulations related to weight handling, hours of service, and safety standards for commercial truck driving.
• Prior experience working with mobile devices for route navigation and communication is advantageous.
• Ability to lift heavy items safely while following manual handling protocols; physical stamina for moving cargo regularly is essential.

Pay: $1,000.00 - $1,500.00 per week
