Job Summary

We are seeking a motivated and dependable Box Truck Driver to join our dynamic logistics team. Responsibilities

• Safely operate box trucks and tractor-trailers for local and over-the-road (OTR) routes, including refrigerated trailers when necessary
• Navigate using GPS systems to ensure timely deliveries while optimizing routes for efficiency
• Load and unload freight with proper manual handling techniques, ensuring cargo safety and compliance with logistics cargo handling standards
• Comply with FMCSA (Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration), DOT (Department of Transportation), hazardous materials regulations, and hazardous goods handling procedures
• Securely load, unload, and transport various types of freight such as flatbed loads, tanker shipments, or dangerous goods as required
• Perform routine vehicle inspections before and after trips to maintain safety standards and report any mechanical issues promptly
• Maintain accurate delivery logs, delivery documentation, and compliance records according to company policies and regulatory requirements

Qualifications

• Valid driver’s license (DL) with a clean driving record; experience with manual transmission preferred
• Proven experience in commercial truck driving, delivery driving, or tractor-trailer operation
• Familiarity with refrigerated trailers, flatbeds, tankers, dump trucks, roll-off trucks or similar equipment is a plus
• Knowledge of FMCSA regulations, DOT regulations, hazardous materials regulations, and safety protocols for dangerous goods
• Ability to handle manual loading and unloading tasks using appropriate equipment such as forklifts when necessary
• Strong understanding of route planning using GPS navigation systems for efficient deliveries
• Excellent driving skills with a focus on safety and compliance in all aspects of trucking operations
