Duties

• Safely operate a box truck or van to transport goods to designated locations, ensuring timely deliveries.
• Load and unload cargo using manual handling techniques and material handling equipment such as pallet jacks or hand trucks.
• Conduct pre-trip inspections of your vehicle to ensure it is in optimal condition, following DOT (Department of Transportation) regulations.
• Adhere strictly to traffic laws, route schedules, and safety protocols during all driving activities.
• Provide excellent customer service by interacting professionally with clients during deliveries and pickups.
• Use mobile devices or GPS systems to navigate routes efficiently and update delivery statuses in real-time.
• Perform warehouse operations including material handling, loading/unloading cargo, and maintaining accurate delivery documentation.

Experience

• Prior experience in delivery driving, courier services, or commercial truck driving is highly preferred.
• Familiarity with warehouse operations, manual handling, heavy lifting, and safe lifting practices.
• Proven ability to operate box trucks or vans with manual transmission safely.
• Knowledge of DOT regulations related to weight handling, hours of service, and vehicle maintenance standards.
• Experience using material handling equipment such as pallet jacks or similar devices is advantageous.
• Strong customer service skills combined with the ability to manage route driving efficiently under time constraints.
• Demonstrated commitment to safe driving practices and adherence to traffic regulations at all times.
