Box Truck Owner Operator

• Safely operate a box truck to pick up and deliver goods across designated routes, adhering strictly to traffic regulations and safety standards
• Load and unload cargo using manual handling techniques, pallet jacks, or material handling equipment such as forklifts when necessary
• Ensure all deliveries are completed accurately, on time, and in excellent condition, maintaining high customer service standards
• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of your vehicle to identify maintenance needs or safety concerns
• Communicate effectively with dispatchers using mobile devices to confirm routes, report issues, or update delivery statuses
• Follow DOT (Department of Transportation) regulations related to weight handling, hours of service, and safety protocols during all operations
• Maintain detailed logs of deliveries, mileage, and vehicle maintenance records for compliance and operational efficiency

Skills

• Proven experience in delivery driving, warehouse operations, or courier services with a focus on manual handling and heavy lifting
• Familiarity with commercial driving regulations and safe lifting practices to ensure safety for yourself and others
• Ability to operate manual transmission vehicles confidently and handle material handling equipment such as forklifts or pallet jacks when required
• Strong customer service skills to represent the company professionally during deliveries
• Experience with route driving using mobile devices for navigation and communication purposes
• Knowledge of warehouse operations including loading/unloading procedures and material handling equipment operation
• Excellent driving record with adherence to traffic laws, safety standards, and DOT regulations
