NUBOXX Fitness is looking for an experienced, energetic Boxing Coach to join our coaching team. We are DC’s premier boxing and fitness experience, combining technical boxing instruction with high-intensity conditioning in a welcoming, community-driven environment.

Our classes are intentionally small, with a maximum of 12 participants, allowing our coaches to provide real instruction, individual attention, and an experience that goes beyond a typical group fitness class.

The Role

As a NUBOXX Boxing Coach, you’ll lead engaging group boxing classes while helping members develop proper technique, confidence, conditioning, and overall boxing skills.

We’re looking for someone who understands that boxing technique comes first. You should be comfortable teaching everyone from someone putting on gloves for the first time to more experienced members looking to sharpen their skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead high-energy, technique-focused boxing classes for up to 12 participants
• Teach proper boxing fundamentals, including stance, footwork, punches, defense, combinations, and movement
• Demonstrate exercises and boxing techniques clearly and safely
• Provide individualized coaching, corrections, and modifications throughout class
• Create an encouraging environment for beginners while appropriately challenging experienced members
• Incorporate conditioning and strength work while maintaining NUBOXX programming standards
• Help members progress in their boxing skills over time
• Maintain a professional, positive, and welcoming presence in the studio
• Arrive prepared and on time for scheduled classes
• Assist with equipment setup and ensure the training space is left organized after class
• Build relationships with members and contribute to the strong community culture at NUBOXX

What We’re Looking For

• Boxing coaching, training, or competitive boxing experience
• Strong understanding of boxing fundamentals and proper technique
• Ability to teach and break down movements for different experience levels
• Confident, engaging presence when leading a group
• Ability to coach rather than simply lead a workout
• Dependable, professional, and punctual
• Comfortable giving hands-on, individualized feedback in a small-group environment
• Passion for helping people improve and reach their goals
• CPR/AED certification preferred
• Personal training or group fitness certification is a plus, but strong boxing knowledge and coaching ability are especially important

We're looking for coaches who are technically knowledgeable, personable, motivating, and coachable themselves. We value coaches who pay attention to the individual—not someone who simply calls out combinations from the front of the room.

NUBOXX Fitness is a boutique boxing and fitness studio in Washington, DC offering Technical Boxing, Advanced Boxing, strength and conditioning, personal training, open gym and sparring opportunities, and specialized programming.

Our small class sizes and technique-driven approach allow us to deliver a more personalized training experience than traditional large-format boxing fitness studios.
