Duties

• Lead high-energy boxing classes, demonstrating proper punching techniques and defensive moves to ensure safety and effectiveness
• Develop tailored training plans that cater to beginners through advanced participants, encouraging progress and confidence
• Provide clear instructions on boxing fundamentals, including stance, footwork, bag work, sparring, and conditioning exercises
• Monitor participants’ form and technique during sessions, offering constructive feedback to improve performance
• Ensure all safety protocols are followed, including proper use of equipment and injury prevention measures
• Maintain a clean and organized training area, regularly inspecting boxing gear and equipment for safety compliance
• Foster a motivating environment that promotes teamwork, sportsmanship, and personal growth among all attendees

Requirements

• Prior experience in boxing coaching or martial arts instruction preferred; certification in sports coaching or fitness instruction is a plus
• Demonstrated ability to work with diverse age groups and skill levels, especially children and teens
• Strong communication skills to effectively teach techniques and engage participants
• Knowledge of first aid and CPR (Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation) certification required; AED operation skills are advantageous
• Experience working with children or in childcare settings is highly desirable
• Background in sports-specific training instruction such as soccer coaching or basketball is beneficial
• Ability to manage behavior effectively while maintaining a positive atmosphere during classes
• Athletic background in sports like climbing or team sports such as soccer or basketball enhances coaching versatility
