About the role:

The Braider joins a special team we're building as TWST Bar considers adding extensions to our menu. They deliver clean, consistent, high-quality twist extensions with a knotless braid base—while keeping pace with our walk-in, high-efficiency model. Every braider represents the TWST Way: timeless natural styles, delivered with culture, community, and connection.

This position is perfect for anyone who has had a suite or works from home and is looking to make extra income. You bring the skill; we bring the clients, the space, the systems, and the team. No chasing bookings, no rent, no running the business alone—just show up, braid, and earn.

Braiders work closely with the Salon Concierge (The Host) to keep the salon moving on time. They must be able to work efficiently whether the salon is calm or busy, communicate timing clearly, and make sure every client leaves feeling cared for and proud of their hair.

Schedule & pay

* Schedule: Must be available Tuesdays and Wednesdays for 8–10 hour shifts

* Pay: 16.50–18/hour + commission

Responsibilities/ Tasks:

• Perform twist extensions with a knotless braid base to N standards
• Complete services within the allotted service times to keep the salon on pace
• Consult with each client before starting to confirm style, size, length, and expectations
• Communicate with the Salon Concierge on timing, delays, and next-client readiness
• Take photos/videos of the client's finished style prior to departure
• Recommend add-ons, aftercare, and products, and encourage clients to rebook
• Keep your station clean, stocked, and sanitized throughout the shift
• Clean up area to N standards before leaving
• Review daily schedule
• Take in-house continued education classes
• Attend 80% of team-wide meetings
• Other duties as assigned

Job requirements:

• 2 years of knotless braiding experience
• Available Tuesdays and Wednesdays for 8–10 hour shifts
• Ability to braid quickly without sacrificing neatness or consistency
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Excellent customer service skills
• Willing to work as part of a team, alongside an assistant, and/or as an assistant
• Comfortable learning new software systems
• Great attention to detail

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $16.50 - $18.00 per hour
