Braider Operator Afternoons - Onsite

Summary: The Braider Operator is responsible for operating and maintaining braiding machines to ensure efficient production and consistent product quality. This role involves monitoring equipment performance, identifying and resolving defects, and supporting a safe, organized manufacturing environment.

Essential Functions:

• Operate and maintain braiding machines in accordance with production requirements
• Replace empty spool packages with full packages to ensure continuous operation
• Monitor machine performance and adjust as needed to maintain efficiency and quality
• Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve defects in braided products
• Report malfunctioning or inefficient equipment to maintenance for timely repair
• Remove completed spools and prepare machines for continued production
• Accurately record production data and output
• Maintain a clean, organized, and orderly work area
• Demonstrate commitments to workplace safety by consistently utilizing required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and following all established safety protocols

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred
• Previous experience in a similar manufacturing or machine operation role preferred
• Basic math proficiency required
• Strong attention to detail with a commitment to producing high-quality work
• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team environment
• Ability to read, write, and understand English

Physical Demands

• Ability to stand for extended periods of time
• Ability to lift, push, and pull up to 30 pounds frequently and up to 80 pounds occasionally
• Ability to reach in front of the body, overhead, and below waist level frequently
• Ability to stoop, crouch, bend, and twist frequently
• Frequent use of both hands for grasping, handling, fingering, and feeling
• Ability to visually inspect and physically detect defects in materials
