Responsibilities

• Perform a variety of braiding styles, including box braids, cornrows, twists, and other intricate designs with precision and creativity
• Deliver comprehensive cosmetology services such as hair coloring, styling, hair extensions, and natural hair maintenance to meet client needs
• Provide expert advice on hair care routines, product recommendations, and maintenance tips to ensure client satisfaction and loyalty
• Maintain strict sanitation standards by properly cleaning tools, implements, and workstations in accordance with health regulations
• Utilize salon software like GlossGenius to schedule appointments, manage client records, and process retail sales efficiently
• Assist with front desk duties including greeting clients, managing appointments, and supporting store management tasks
• Upsell retail products such as hair care items, s to enhance client experience and increase sales
• Mentor junior team members by sharing techniques in hairstyling, color theory, and customer communication skills to foster a collaborative environment

Skills

• Proficiency in salon software systems like GlossGenius for appointment scheduling and client management
• Expertise in various hairstyling techniques including braiding, hair coloring, hair extensions, and hair threading
• Strong knowledge of sanitation practices to ensure a safe and hygienic salon environment
• Skilled in retail sales strategies such as upselling and retail math to promote product sales effectively
• Excellent communication skills for engaging with clients about their desired looks and providing personalized recommendations
• Experience working within the beauty industry with a focus on customer service excellence
• Ability to perform barbering techniques using straight razors when needed for grooming services
• Familiarity with store management principles to support daily operations effectively
• Ability to mentor team members in cosmetology techniques and client communication for continuous improvement
