Brake Press Operator

Our Greenwood, IN facility is currently seeking a Brake Press Operator to support our operations on 1st and 3rd shifts. Your primary focus will be the setup and operation of brake press machinery to shape components based on specific blueprints and operational guidelines.

Core Responsibilities:

• Analyze technical drawings and operation sheets to identify the necessary production steps.
• Execute various forming tasks, including standard bends, large radii, and offsets, to help ensure high-quality output.
• Utilize precision inspection tools like micrometers, calipers, squares, and height gauges to verify part quality against AQL standards, notifying leadership of any discrepancies.
• Track and document accurate tallies for both finished components and scrap materials to maintain inventory integrity.
• Finalize production documentation and input necessary data into the internal company system.
• Keep all measuring devices, equipment, and tooling organized and in good working condition.
• Promote a safe and efficient workplace by promptly notifying management of equipment malfunctions and keeping your station clean.

Required Qualifications:

• A High School diploma or equivalent is preferred.
• At least one year of relevant training or professional experience.
• Capacity to follow directions provided through written, verbal, or diagrammatic formats.
• Mathematical proficiency involving whole numbers, fractions, decimals, and units of measure.
• Ability to interpret complex blueprints and operation sheets to facilitate proper machine setup and production.
• Competence in setting up and running a Brake Press, as well as managing data within the Traverse Manufacturing System.
• Physical capability to lift weights up to 50 pounds to support team material handling needs.
