Responsibilities

• Set up and calibrate brake press machines according to detailed specifications and engineering drawings
• Operate the brake press to bend, form, and shape sheet metal with precision and efficiency
• Adjust tooling and dies to ensure accurate bends and consistent quality across production runs
• Perform routine inspections of finished parts, verifying dimensions using basic math skills and hand tools
• Maintain a clean and organized work area, ensuring safety protocols are followed at all times
• Assist with grinding, welding, or assembly tasks as needed to support overall production goals
• Document production data, machine settings, and quality checks accurately for traceability

Skills

• Strong mechanical knowledge of fabrication equipment, tooling, and sheet metal processes
• Experience with setting up Trumpf, Amada brake presses
• Proficiency in using hand tools for adjustments and minor repairs
• Basic math skills for measuring and calculating angles, dimensions, and tolerances
• Knowledge of welding, grinding, and general fabrication techniques is a plus
• Familiarity with assembly procedures for finished parts or components
• Ability to interpret technical drawings and blueprints effectively
