Branch Manager – Christchurch | TechClean – Asbestos & Restoration

Welcome to TechClean – New Zealand’s trusted experts in asbestos removal, restoration, and hazardous material management. We’re growing – and we’re looking for a driven, experienced Branch Manager to lead our Canterbury and South Island operations.

About the Role:

As our Christchurch Branch Manager, you’ll be at the forefront of driving performance, building strong client relationship, and ensuring operational excellence. You’ll lead a dedicated team, oversee project delivery, and contribute to strategic growth of the branch. This is a hands-on leadership role ideal for someone who thrives in a dynamic environment and is passionate about health, safety and making a positive impact.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead, manage, and motivate the team across asbestos and restoration projects
• Ensure all work is delivered safely, efficiently, and to a high standard as per New Zealand regulations and guidelines
• Manage branch financial performance including budgets, forecasting, and reporting
• Build and maintain strong client relationships, ensuring repeat business and referrals
• Drive continuous improvement in operations, health & safety, and team development
• Collaborate with senior leadership to align branch goals with company strategy

About You:

• Proven experience in a senior operational, project management, or branch leadership role (preferably in asbestos, construction, or restoration sectors)
• Strong knowledge of health & safety regulations and best practices
• Commercially savvy with experience managing budgets & contracts – you understand margins, KPI’s, and growth
• A natural leader with excellent communication and people management skills
• Results-orientated, adaptable, and able to thrive under pressure
• Bonus: Class A/B Asbestos Supervisor licence or asbestos industry experience is advantageous
