What they need
Christchurch represents a key part of **AWF'**s strategy to maintain its position as New Zealand's leading provider of labour-hire and permanent placement services across key regional centres.
We now have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Sales Manager or Account / Relationship Manager, or recruitment consultant who's ready to take the next step, to lead our Christchurch branch and play a pivotal role in the growth of our newly established Civil and Construction arm.
Who we are
AWF is a well-established, New Zealand-owned company that has helped Keep NZ Working for over 30 years. Behind our success are genuine people focused on making a meaningful difference for our clients and candidates-placing people into rewarding work every day and ensuring they go home safely.
The role
This is a rare opportunity to take ownership of a branch while being at the forefront of building and expanding AWF's Civil and Construction specialisation in Christchurch. Ideally, you'll have a strong understanding of the local economy and construction market. While civil sector knowledge is advantageous, we're primarily looking for a commercially minded, and highly energetic, leader who can grow relationships, identify opportunities, and drive market expansion in this newly focused division.
As Branch Manager, you will:
- Be a captain within the branch, enjoying a mixture of leading by example in the field and guiding a small team to success
- Drive revenue growth by maximising opportunities within AWF's key national civil clients and expanding into new civil and construction customers
- Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with clients and stakeholders
- Take ownership of branch performance, including financial results and cash flow targets
- Champion company-led initiatives and the development of the Civil and Construction arm
- Ensure Health & Safety compliance to company and client standards
- Bring a minimum of 3 years' leadership or management experience
Experience within recruitment, running a successful small business, or managing a branch of a national organisation will be highly regarded.
The benefits
- Attractive salary with uncapped bonus potential
- Supportive and collaborative team environment
- Company vehicle, mobile phone, and tools of the trade
- Extra day of leave for your birthday, a wellbeing day, plus corporate discounts
- Five weeks' annual leave after the qualifying period
- Ongoing support and development opportunities within the wider Accordant Group
We value diversity and are proud of the inclusive teams we build to serve the communities we work in. We reward success, support growth, and enjoy giving back.
