Branch Manager

About the role

We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Branch Manager to lead our retail operations at our Ipoh, Perak location. This is a full-time position that sits at the heart of our store's success, where you will be responsible for driving sales performance, managing team operations, and delivering an exceptional customer experience. As Branch Manager, you will have strategic responsibility for all aspects of the branch, including financial performance, staff management, inventory control, and brand representation. This role is critical to our growth strategy and offers the opportunity to make a significant impact on our business within the Retail & Consumer Products sector.

Key responsibilities

• Manage all daily operations of the branch, ensuring smooth and efficient running of the store
• Develop and implement sales strategies to achieve and exceed branch targets and key performance indicators
• Lead, motivate, recruit and train a high-performing retail team to deliver outstanding customer service
• Monitor and control branch budget, expenses, and profitability to ensure financial targets are met
• Manage inventory levels, ordering, stock rotation and merchandising to optimise product availability and sales
• Maintain visual merchandising standards and ensure the store environment reflects brand values and guidelines
• Build and maintain strong relationships with customers, addressing complaints and ensuring customer satisfaction
• Implement company policies and procedures whilst maintaining compliance with all relevant regulations
• Conduct regular staff appraisals, provide coaching and development opportunities, and manage performance issues
• Report on branch performance metrics and provide regular updates to senior management
• Plan and execute promotional campaigns and seasonal events to drive foot traffic and sales

What we're looking for

• Proven experience of 3-5 years in a retail store management or supervisory role, preferably within the consumer electronics or gadget sector
• Strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire, motivate and develop team members
• Excellent sales acumen and a track record of achieving or exceeding sales targets
• Solid understanding of retail operations, including inventory management, visual merchandising and customer service best practices
• Strong numerical and analytical skills with proficiency in using retail management systems and point-of-sale software
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to engage with customers and staff at all levels
• Ability to work under pressure, prioritise multiple tasks and make sound decisions in a fast-paced retail environment
• Knowledge of consumer electronics products and trends would be advantageous
• Flexibility to work retail hours, including weekends and public holidays as required
• A qualification in business management, retail management or equivalent experience is preferred
