Job Overview
Lead a Team. Grow a Branch. Make a Difference.
At Missouri Central Credit Union (MCCU), our mission is simple: Improving our communities and the financial lives of our members.
We're looking for a motivated, results-driven Branch Manager who is passionate about developing people, building relationships, and driving branch success.
This isn't just a position focused on managing daily operations. We're looking for a leader who takes ownership of branch performance, inspires their team to achieve goals, and creates meaningful financial experiences for our members.
Our ideal candidate is a hands-on leader who balances strong sales and service performance with coaching, operational excellence, and community involvement.
What You'll Do
Lead Branch Growth & Performance
- Take ownership of branch production, performance, and overall success.
- Drive growth in consumer lending, deposits, memberships, and ancillary products.
- Establish clear goals, monitor performance, and implement strategies to achieve results.
- Lead needs-based sales and service conversations that connect members with the right financial solutions.
- Identify opportunities to improve branch performance, member engagement, and business development.
Coach, Develop & Inspire Your Team
- Build a high-performing team through consistent coaching, training, and development.
- Set clear expectations and hold team members accountable for performance and results.
- Conduct regular one-on-one coaching sessions, performance discussions, and development planning.
- Recognize achievements, address performance opportunities, and create a culture of continuous improvement.
- Lead by example, fostering teamwork, ownership, and a positive work environment.
Deliver an Exceptional Member Experience
- Champion MCCU's member-first service culture and G.R.E.A.T. Service Model.
- Ensure members receive personalized service focused on understanding their financial needs.
- Resolve escalated member concerns with professionalism, empathy, and sound judgment.
- Empower employees to build relationships, identify opportunities, and deliver solutions rather than simply process transactions.
Oversee Branch Operations
- Manage daily branch activities while maintaining operational efficiency, accuracy, and compliance.
- Ensure adherence to credit union policies, procedures, security standards, and applicable regulations.
- Maintain strong cash controls, audit readiness, and risk management practices.
- Identify opportunities to improve processes and strengthen operational performance.
Build Community Relationships
- Represent MCCU through community involvement, networking, and local partnerships.
- Develop relationships with businesses, organizations, and community leaders.
- Identify opportunities to attract new members and strengthen MCCU's presence in the community.
What We're Looking For
Required Qualifications
- Two-year degree or equivalent professional experience.
- Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to coach employees, establish performance expectations, and drive accountability.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities.
- Ability to maintain operational accuracy, sound judgment, and regulatory compliance.
Preferred Qualifications
- 1–3 years of leadership experience in a credit union, banking, or financial services environment.
- Demonstrated success leading sales and service teams to achieve production goals.
- Experience with consumer lending, deposit products, and relationship-based financial services.
- Experience developing employees through structured coaching and performance management.
- Knowledge of branch operations, cash controls, and financial institution regulations.
