Branch Manager

About the role

As Branch Manager, you will be responsible for ensuring the branch operates efficiently, profitably and professionally. You will oversee the customer booking process, workshop scheduling, parts management, customer communications and operational administration, while working with the Workshop Manager to ensure jobs are completed efficiently and to a high standard. This is not simply an administrative role. You will take ownership of the branch's performance, identify opportunities for improvement and actively contribute to business growth.

Key responsibilities

• Take ownership of the overall operational performance of the Margaret River branch
• Manage customer bookings, workshop scheduling, and job flow to maximise productivity and workshop utilisation
• Monitor key performance indicators including bookings, revenue, labour utilisation and customer satisfaction
• Identify and implement improvements to systems, processes and operational efficiency
• Work closely with the Workshop Manager to ensure the smooth daily operation of the workshop
• Coordinate workshop capacity, job priorities, parts availability and customer delivery commitments
• Oversee customer enquiries, bookings, quotations and service communications
• Deliver an exceptional customer experience from initial booking through to vehicle collection
• Oversee parts ordering, availability, pricing and supplier relationships
• Work closely with the owner to develop and implement initiatives that increase customer bookings and branch revenue

About you

• Experience in automotive workshop operations, service management, branch management or a similar operational leadership role
• Strong customer service and relationship management skills
• Excellent organisational skills and the ability to coordinate multiple jobs and competing priorities
• A commercial mindset, with an understanding of revenue, margins, productivity and profitability
• Experience managing bookings, parts purchasing, suppliers and operational processes
• Confidence working with technicians and coordinating workshop activities
• Strong communication, leadership and problem-solving skills
• A proactive approach to business development and continuous improvement
• Competence with workshop management software and general business systems
• You must be comfortable working in a technical, fast-paced workshop environment
