Branch Manager- Rustenburg

Waco Modular is seeking a Branch Manager who will be accountable for the Rustenburg branch’s commercial growth, operational performance and financial results. The primary focus is to expand the rental fleet, maintain high utilization and improve profitability through business development, customer engagement, contract acquisition and retention. The role also leads branch operations, administration, people performance, financial management and service delivery in accordance with company objectives, policies and standards.

KEY RESPONSIBILITY AREAS:

Commercial & Business Development

• Drive branch revenue and business growth through proactive business development, customer engagement, contract acquisition and retention of existing customers.
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with key customers and stakeholders while identifying and converting new business opportunities.
• Lead the full sales process from prospecting, customer visits and proposals through to negotiation and contract closure.
• Develop and grow the Waco Modular brand and identify opportunities to expand secured and value-added service revenue streams.
• Monitor market opportunities and customer requirements to support sustainable growth and achievement of branch commercial targets.

Branch Operations & Fleet Management

• Provide effective leadership across the branch’s commercial and operational functions, ensuring efficient, safe, compliant and high-quality service delivery.
• Plan and allocate operational resources in line with customer requirements, business priorities and branch capacity.
• Oversee the planning and coordination of fleet deliveries and collections with the Rental Fleet Controller and Operations Manager to maximise fleet efficiency and utilisation.
• Maintain overall accountability for branch assets, including rental fleet, stock, office equipment and other company resources.
• Identify and implement operational efficiencies, cost optimisation initiatives and continuous improvement opportunities.

Financial & Performance Management

• Develop and manage the branch’s annual budget, forecasts, costs, margins, profitability and financial performance.
• Monitor branch performance against agreed revenue, utilisation, profitability, debtor and operational targets and implement corrective action where required.
• Maintain effective oversight of the branch Income Statement and ensure financial performance remains aligned with approved budgets.
• Prepare and present accurate monthly branch performance reports and presentations to management.
• Drive revenue growth, fleet utilisation and profitability while maintaining effective cost and debtor management.

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND COMPETENCIES REQUIRED:

• A relevant tertiary qualification in Business Management, Operations Management, Commerce or a related field is advantageous.
• Minimum 5 years' relevant management experience.
• Demonstrated sales/business development experience.
• Proven ability to develop customer relationships and secure new business.
• Experience in budgeting, forecasting and financial management.
• Experience preparing management reports and presentations.
• Strong commercial and financial understanding.
