Job Responsibilities

• Perform checker and authorization duties for daily retail banking transactions, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and adherence to established operational procedures.
• Review and verify account opening documentation, account maintenance requests, fund transfers, and other banking transactions.
• Support daily branch operations and ensure all transactions are processed accurately and efficiently.
• Monitor operational controls and ensure compliance with internal policies, regulatory requirements, and anti-money laundering (AML) guidelines.
• Identify and escalate operational discrepancies, irregularities, and potential risks to the appropriate management level.
• Provide guidance and support to frontline branch staff regarding operational procedures and transaction processing.
• Assist in handling customer enquiries, service-related issues, and operational exceptions.
• Maintain accurate operational records, transaction reports, and relevant documentation.
• Support branch management in maintaining high service standards and effective operational risk controls.

Job Requirements

• Diploma or degree holder in Business Administration, Banking, Finance, or a related discipline.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in retail banking, preferably in branch operations, customer service, or transaction checking functions.
• Previous experience in a branch checker, authorizer, or supervisory capacity is highly preferred.
• Solid understanding of retail banking operations, internal controls, KYC, AML, and relevant regulatory requirements.
• Familiarity with account opening, transaction verification, and daily branch operational procedures.
• Strong attention to detail, risk awareness, and problem-solving skills.
• Good interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to work effectively with frontline banking staff.
• Proficient in spoken and written English and Chinese, including Cantonese and Mandarin.
