Branch Operations Manager, Operations Division

The primary responsibility of this role is to ensure control & compliance with bank’s policies; regulatory laws & guidelines to authorize all financial (other than cash) & non financial transactions with proper verification of all source & supporting documents. Surprise checking of all cash & cash equivalent as well as all security instruments. Acquire all knowledge of newly implemented internal and external memos and circulars. Coordinate with branch people to ensure the proper compliance of the branch. Also act the whistle blower of the branch. Act as BAMLCO of branch. In addition BOMs will perform any duty that has been assigned to them by their line managers or management.

Functional Responsibilities

• Ensuring all operational tasks are aligned with bank`s policies, regulatory laws and guidelines.
• Checking all source documents while account opening and authorize for further processing.
• Authorizing all sorts of non-cash financial transactions (Demand Drafts, Transfer Transactions, RTGS, Pay Order, etc).
• Acting as Branch Anti Money Laundering Compliance Officer.
• Ensure Full branch team is aware and follows all circulars and processes related to AML.
• Monthly AML meeting is conducted and all AML circulars & policies are discussed with all branch staff.
• Take the AML reports from the system and analyze those reports and take appropriate corrective measures.

Education & Experience

• 4 years of Graduation or Masters from any UGC approved national university or any international university.
• 2/3 years of experience in any scheduled Bank with related job.

Technical & Behavioral Skill

• Strong problem-solving skills to be able to analyze the current situation and develop implementable solutions to address immediate and long-term needs.
• Able to work under pressure and in any formal environment.
• Have sound analytical ability.
• Hardworking, self-motivated, self-confident person.
• Extensive Negotiation, Analytical and Interpersonal skills
• Good Communication skills between branch and several cross functional departments.
