Branch Supervisor

Walker Logistics is a fast-growing domestic and international freight company based in Milson, Palmerston North. We require an Operations Supervisor / Allrounder to work with a small team. A class 2 License, current forklift License and certification in dangerous goods handling is essential.

Standard Workdays: Monday - Friday 04:00 - 14:30

• Core Transport Operational background
• A strong ability to grow customer base in the Palmerston North region.
• Energetic and positive approach to task completion
• Regular customer site visits
• Physically fit and capable of handling labour-intensive work when required.
• A good team supervisor whilst ensuring company procedures are adhered to.
• From time to time this role requires flexibility after hours, dependent on the need to help cover staff. Some weekend work.
• Strong communication skills.
• Ability to use Microsoft office products, Word / Excel etc.
• Overseeing all delivery networks that Walker Logistics services in the region.
• The ability to manage local relationships with 3rd party suppliers that we work with from time to time.
• Attention to detail
• Good local geographical knowledge of New Zealand.
• Current fork hoist license
• Current certificate in Dangerous Goods handling
• Reporting to the National Operations Manager based in Auckland head office.
