Branch Support

Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Branch Support to join our team. This role is a versatile position that encompasses warehousing, driving and sales responsibilities.

The ideal candidate will have a proactive approach and possess a strong understanding of warehouse processes, goods in and goods out, handling materials, delivering goods, and supporting the trade counter sales team. This position offers an excellent opportunity for individuals looking to develop their skills within the electrical wholesale trade.

Responsibilities

• Assist with stock management, including stocking shelves and organising inventory
• Operate forklift and other warehouse machinery safely and efficiently
• Manage shipping and receiving processes, including loading and unloading goods
• Driving duties
• Utilise warehouse management systems to track inventory and process orders
• Perform picking and packing duties to prepare items for dispatch
• Handle materials appropriately, ensuring safe lifting techniques are followed for heavy loads
• Maintain a clean and organised work environment to promote safety and efficiency
• Collaborate with team members to ensure timely completion of tasks

Requirements

• Clean Driving Licence
• Experience in electrical wholeasale trade would be advantageous
• Valid forklift licence or experience operating forklift machinery would be advantageous
• Familiarity with warehouse management systems
• Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently
• Strong organisational skills with attention to detail
• Experience with stock control, picking & packing, shipping & receiving processes
• Ability to work effectively in a physically demanding environment involving load & unload activities
• Good communication skills and the ability to work well within a team.

Pay: £12.71-£13.00 per hour

Expected hours: No less than 45.0 per week
