What they need
- This role sits on Notion’s Creative Studio, a small team of designers, illustrators, and filmmakers. Our work tells the story of our offering in a way that reflects the products themselves: smart, refined, and with a dash of wit on the side
- As a Brand Designer, you’ll work on high-impact brand initiatives and campaigns: setting direction from early strategy through final execution, partnering closely with stakeholders and executives, and raising the bar for craft and systems
- You’ll be asked to define approaches, resolve ambiguity, and influence both project outcomes and how the team works
- Concept, art direct and design high-visibility moments from brand campaigns, product launches, and events, developing approaches that can scale across a broad range of surfaces, moments, and channels
- Contribute to our brand systems and develop standards and tooling that improve velocity and consistency for teammates near and far
- Mentor and raise the bar for other designers and creative partners through feedback, critique, and patterns that make great work repeatable- If you’re excited about this role but don’t meet every bullet, we still encourage you to apply
- 10+ years in an agency or in-house environment, with demonstrated leadership on ambiguous, complex, high-impact work
- Excellent partnership skills. You can work hand-in-hand with cross-functional stakeholders, drive alignment, and make pragmatic tradeoffs
- Experience working with a broad range of makers. You’ve teamed up with illustrators, animators, copywriters, filmmakers, photographers, and beyond to bring your ideas to life
- A deep commitment to systems thinking, typographic excellence, and sensitivity to small details
- A tinkerer’s mindset. You’re curious about how your tools are evolving and have a strong perspective on how AI can expand creative expression and drive production. You’ll actively experiment with new AI workflows to concept, prototype, and push our design systems further
- A strong portfolio of work that’s culturally resonant and visually diverse, and that showcases your ability to tell stories across many channels
- You don’t need deep AI expertise for every role, but we do expect every Notino to be intellectually curious, drawn to tinkering and discovery, and excited to use AI as a real collaborator in their work
