Brand Development Specialist - Mandarin Speaker

Responsible for searching, identifying, and developing new product/brand opportunities

from China, managing business communications and negotiations using Mandarin, and

facilitating import administration coordination with related departments.

Key Responsibilities:

• Analyze catalogs and propose new product variations or items from Chinese principals to complement and strengthen the company's existing brand portfolio

• Conduct negotiations on purchase prices (COGS), discounts, and commercial partnership schemes with Chinese principals to ensure cost efficiency and brand profit margins

• Accurately translate technical documents, specifications, catalogs, and product communication materials from Mandarin to Indonesian (and vice versa) for internal needs

• Manage requests for new product samples and collect supporting technical data from

• Chinese principals to support product launch readiness by the Brand Development (BD) team.

• Coordinate with the internal Import/Logistics team to ensure that imported documents and product specifications from Chinese principals align with brand development requirements

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Management, Marketing, International Business, or related field
• 2–3 years of experience in Business Development, Brand Development, Product Sourcing
• Fluent in Mandarin and English, both spoken and written
• Strong Mandarin communication and negotiation skills with China-based principals/suppliers
• Good understanding of product sourcing, pricing, COGS, and commercial terms
• Strong analytical, communication, negotiation, and coordination skills
• Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Excel and PowerPoint
• Experience in building materials, interior, furniture, or premium products is a plus
