Build a portfolio of international brands on New Zealand shelves

Zebra International is a New Zealand-owned importer and distributor based in Mount Maunganui. We bring international food, beverage, confectionery, grocery, cleaning and beauty brands to retailers across New Zealand.

We're adding a Brand Manager to our brand team. You'll look after a portfolio of international brands, working with overseas brand owners, New Zealand's major retailers and our field sales team to grow each one.

This role suits someone who has managed FMCG brands in New Zealand retail and is comfortable running many brands and deadlines at once.

What you'll be doing

Reporting to the Senior Brand Manager, you will:

• Build and run brand plans, promotional calendars and new product launches for your brands

• Be the day-to-day contact for overseas brand owners, sharing performance updates and securing marketing support

• Prepare ranging and promotional submissions for retailers such as Woolworths, Foodstuffs, Kmart and The Warehouse, plus convenience stores and petrol stations

• Brief our field sales and merchandising teams and track in-store execution

• Plan campaigns across social media, digital advertising and our websites

• Run content and promotions for a direct-to-consumer online store

• Forecast launch and promotional volumes with our warehouse team so stock is ready

• Report monthly on sales, promotional results and competitor activity

What we're looking for

• 3+ years in brand management, brand marketing or trade marketing in FMCG

• Experience with category reviews with New Zealand grocery or retail head offices, such as Woolworths, Foodstuffs, Kmart or The Warehouse

• Experience planning promotions and in-store activity, including promotional calendars, POS and displays

• Experience running social media or digital advertising campaigns

• Experience reading and analysing sales and retailer data in Excel, and turning it into clear recommendations

• Commercial experience managing pricing, margins and trade spend to grow brand profitability

• An advantage: experience with Shopify or e-commerce, or working with overseas brand owners or suppliers

• The legal right to work in New Zealand
