Responsibilities

• Prepare and present breakfast items with precision, ensuring food quality and presentation meet established standards
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the breakfast area, including tables, counters, and food stations, following food safety sanitizing procedures
• Operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently, including toasters, coffee machines, warmers, and other small appliances
• Assist in food handling and food preparation tasks such as slicing, assembling, or portioning ingredients while adhering to food safety guidelines
• Serve guests in person with friendly, attentive customer service that enhances their dining experience
• Process cash transactions accurately using POS (Point of Sale) systems while managing weight handling in the workplace for food items
• Follow all food safety management protocols to ensure a hygienic environment and prevent contamination or spoilage

Experience

• Previous experience in food service or hospitality preferred, especially within fine dining or catering environments
• Knowledge of food preparation techniques and food safety sanitizing procedures is highly desirable
• Experience operating kitchen equipment and handling food safely in a fast-paced setting is beneficial
• Familiarity with POS systems for processing transactions and basic math skills for cash handling are advantageous
• Strong customer service skills with the ability to engage positively with guests in person are essential
• Experience with banquet or catering services can be an asset for supporting diverse guest needs
• Previous roles involving dietary aide work or food industry experience will help you excel in maintaining high standards of food safety and quality
