Responsibilities

• Prepare and set up breakfast buffet stations with a variety of fresh food items, ensuring presentation is appealing and inviting
• Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of all food preparation areas, adhering strictly to food safety sanitizing procedures
• Replenish food supplies promptly to ensure the buffet remains fully stocked and visually appealing throughout service hours
• Operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently, including warming trays, coffee machines, toasters, and other small appliances
• Assist with food handling and processing cash transactions at the point-of-sale (POS) system when necessary
• Ensure proper manual handling techniques when lifting or moving heavy food trays or supplies to prevent injury
• Provide friendly, attentive customer service by greeting guests in person, answering questions about menu items, and accommodating dietary needs or preferences

Skills

• Proven experience in fine dining or restaurant environments with a strong understanding of food preparation and presentation
• Knowledge of food safety management practices, including sanitizing procedures and proper food handling techniques
• Ability to operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently while maintaining cleanliness standards
• Familiarity with POS systems for processing transactions accurately and efficiently
• Excellent customer service skills with a friendly demeanor in face-to-face interactions
• Basic math skills for handling cash transactions and measuring ingredients accurately
• Experience with catering or banquet service is a plus, demonstrating versatility in food service settings
• Strong manual handling skills for weight management in the workplace and safe movement of supplies
