Responsibilities

• Prepare and set up breakfast buffet stations with a variety of food items, ensuring freshness and presentation standards are met.
• Replenish food items regularly, maintaining cleanliness and organization of the breakfast area throughout service hours.
• Follow food safety sanitizing procedures diligently to ensure all surfaces, utensils, and equipment are hygienic and compliant with health regulations.
• Assist with food preparation tasks such as slicing, portioning, or assembling breakfast items as needed.
• Operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently, including toasters, coffee machines, and warming trays.
• Provide friendly in-person customer service by greeting guests, answering questions about menu items, and accommodating special requests.
• Handle food handling responsibilities responsibly, including proper storage, labeling, and disposal of leftovers or expired items.
• Process cash transactions accurately at the breakfast service area using POS (Point of Sale) systems when applicable.
• Maintain weight handling safety standards when lifting or moving heavy supplies or equipment.
• Support cleaning routines by sanitizing tables, chairs, and buffet stations after each use to uphold cleanliness standards.

Requirements

• Previous experience in food service or hospitality is preferred; fine dining or catering experience is a plus.
• Knowledge of food safety management practices and sanitizing procedures is essential.
• Ability to handle manual tasks such as lifting heavy supplies and operating kitchen equipment safely.
• Basic math skills for processing transactions accurately and managing inventory levels.
• Strong customer service skills with a friendly, energetic approach to guest interactions.
• Familiarity with food handling regulations and food safety protocols within the food industry.
• Experience with POS systems for processing payments efficiently.
• Culinary experience or food preparation skills that support high-quality breakfast service are advantageous.
• Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail in maintaining cleanliness and presentation standards.
