Cleaning hotel rooms when needed housekeeping

Responsibilities

Housekeeping: cleaning rooms after breakfast is close.

• Prepare and present a variety of breakfast items with attention to quality, presentation, and food safety standards
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the breakfast area, including tables, counters, and food stations
• Follow food safety sanitizing procedures to ensure a hygienic environment for guests and staff
• Operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently, including toasters, coffee machines, and warming trays
• Assist with food handling, portioning, and basic food preparation tasks as needed
• Restock supplies and ensure all food items are stored properly according to health regulations
• Adhere to manual handling protocols when lifting or moving heavy items such as bulk supplies or equipment
• Support catering or special event setups when required, demonstrating flexibility in a hospitality environment
• Ensure compliance with all food safety management practices and dietary guidelines

Experience

• Previous experience in food service, restaurant, or catering environments is highly preferred
• Fine dining experience or culinary background is advantageous but not mandatory
• Familiarity with operating kitchen equipment and food safety sanitizing procedures is essential
• Strong customer service skills with the ability to interact professionally with guests in person
• Ability to handle weight in the workplace safely and efficiently during setup or cleanup tasks
