Breakfast Barista

Job Summary

MOOD. is seeking an enthusiastic and customer-focused Breakfast Barista to support its morning café and breakfast service. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys preparing quality coffee, creating a welcoming atmosphere, and delivering attentive service in a modern restaurant setting. The successful candidate will prepare espresso-based beverages, assist guests with their orders, and help maintain an organized and inviting coffee service area.

Responsibilities

• Prepare espresso, cappuccino, latte, Americano, cold brew, and other coffee beverages according to established recipes.
• Welcome guests, answer questions about coffee and drink options, and take orders accurately.
• Operate espresso machines, coffee grinders, and point-of-sale (POS) systems.
• Prepare beverages promptly while maintaining consistent quality and presentation.
• Coordinate with breakfast and restaurant team members to ensure orders are served correctly.
• Restock coffee beans, milk, syrups, cups, lids, and other supplies.
• Maintain clean and sanitary coffee equipment, counters, and beverage preparation areas.
• Follow food-safety procedures and proper milk-storage and handling practices.
• Monitor supplies and communicate inventory needs to the supervisor.
• Assist with opening duties, morning setup, and closing tasks as assigned.

Qualifications

• Strong customer-service and communication skills.
• Interest in coffee preparation and breakfast café service.
• Ability to work efficiently during busy morning shifts.
• Reliable attendance, punctuality, and a positive attitude.
• Willingness to learn beverage recipes, equipment operation, and service standards.
• Ability to stand for extended periods and perform routine café tasks.
• Previous barista, café, or restaurant experience is preferred but not required.
• Availability for morning, weekday, or weekend shifts as scheduled.

Pay: $19.00 - $22.00 per hour

Expected hours: 32.0 per week
