Breakfast Chef

We are looking for an experienced Breakfast Chef to join a busy Italian restaurant. The ideal candidate will have strong breakfast and brunch cooking experience, excellent food presentation skills, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced kitchen.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare and cook breakfast and brunch menu items according to restaurant standards.
• Prepare eggs, omelettes, frittatas, pancakes, French toast, breakfast sandwiches, and other breakfast dishes.
• Prepare Italian-inspired breakfast dishes, sauces, meats, vegetables, and garnishes.
• Ensure consistent taste, portion size, presentation, and food quality.
• Complete daily food preparation and maintain proper mise en place.
• Monitor food inventory and communicate shortages to the kitchen supervisor.
• Maintain a clean and organized workstation.
• Follow proper food handling, sanitation, and food safety procedures.
• Coordinate with other kitchen staff during busy breakfast and brunch service.
• Minimize food waste and properly store ingredients.

Requirements:

• Minimum 2 years of cooking experience, preferably as a Breakfast or Brunch Chef.
• Experience in an Italian restaurant is preferred.
• Strong knowledge of egg preparation and breakfast cooking techniques.
• Ability to work quickly and efficiently during high-volume service.
• Good knife skills and knowledge of kitchen equipment.
• Strong attention to food quality and presentation.
• Ability to work early mornings, weekends, and holidays as required.
• Valid Food Handler Certificate preferred.
• Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 40 50 lbs.
