Breakfast Chef

Job Summary

The Griddle Cafe is seeking an experienced and creative Breakfast Chef to prepare high-quality breakfast and brunch dishes in a busy café environment. The ideal candidate will have strong cooking skills, a good understanding of breakfast menus, and the ability to maintain food quality, consistency, and presentation during peak service hours.

Responsibilities

• Prepare breakfast and brunch dishes, including pancakes, waffles, French toast, omelets, and egg specialties.
• Follow established recipes, portion guidelines, and presentation standards.
• Prepare ingredients and organize kitchen stations before service begins.
• Coordinate cooking times and manage multiple orders during busy breakfast periods.
• Maintain consistent taste, freshness, and food quality.
• Monitor ingredient inventory and communicate restocking needs to management.
• Follow food safety, sanitation, and proper food-storage procedures.
• Maintain clean cooking stations, equipment, and food preparation areas.
• Work closely with kitchen team members and front-of-house staff.
• Help minimize food waste and maintain efficient kitchen operations.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as a Breakfast Chef, Line Cook, or Brunch Cook preferred.
• Strong knowledge of breakfast cooking techniques and griddle equipment.
• Ability to prepare eggs, pancakes, waffles, and other breakfast dishes consistently.
• Knowledge of food safety and sanitation requirements.
• Strong time-management and organizational skills.
• Ability to work efficiently in a high-volume kitchen.
• Reliable attendance and flexibility for morning, weekend, and holiday shifts.

Pay: $22.00 - $28.00 per hour
