Responsibilities

• Assist with food preparation by chopping, slicing, and organizing ingredients according to recipes and safety standards
• Cook menu items with precision, ensuring quality, presentation, and timely service
• Maintain cleanliness of workstations, utensils, and kitchen equipment to uphold food safety standards
• Support dishwashing duties by cleaning dishes, cookware, and kitchen tools efficiently and thoroughly
• Follow proper food handling procedures to prevent contamination and ensure freshness
• Aid in menu planning and ingredient inventory management to support smooth kitchen operations
• Collaborate with team members to meet service goals during busy hours and ensure customer satisfaction

Skills

• Experience in dietary departments or as a dietary aide is a plus, demonstrating familiarity with food handling protocols
• Strong food preparation and cooking skills with knowledge of various culinary techniques
• Previous restaurant or food service experience that highlights your ability to work efficiently under pressure
• Excellent knife skills for precise cutting and prep work
• Understanding of food safety regulations and proper sanitation practices
• Ability to assist with catering events or special meal preparations as needed
• Good communication skills for effective teamwork and customer service when serving guests
