Duties

• Prepare and cook breakfast items following established recipes, menu plans, and food safety standards
• Operate kitchen equipment such as grills, ovens, poaching stations, braising pots, and food processors efficiently and safely
• Ensure all food handling procedures comply with sanitation and food safety sanitizing protocols
• Assist in menu planning by suggesting innovative breakfast options and maintaining consistency in food presentation
• Manage food production during peak hours to ensure timely service without compromising quality
• Maintain cleanliness of workstations, utensils, and kitchen equipment through regular sanitizing procedures
• Adhere strictly to recipe guidelines, portion control, and dietary department requirements to meet guest expectations

Requirements

• Proven experience in food preparation within a restaurant or food service environment is a plus.
• Skilled in operating kitchen equipment safely and efficiently
• Demonstrated proficiency in knife skills and food handling practices
• Experience with dietary aide responsibilities or dietary department procedures is a plus
• Familiarity with food safety management systems and sanitizing procedures to prevent contamination
• Ability to work quickly under pressure while maintaining attention to detail and quality standards
• Excellent communication skills and a team-oriented attitude
