Duties

• Prepare and cook a variety of breakfast items, including eggs, pancakes, breakfast meats, and other specialty dishes with consistency and flair
• Follow standardized recipes and menu plans to ensure quality and presentation standards are met
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area, adhering strictly to food safety and sanitation guidelines
• Handle food with care, ensuring proper storage, handling, and rotation of ingredients to minimize waste
• Assist in menu planning by suggesting new breakfast options or improvements based on guest preferences
• Operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently, including knives, grills, fryers, and ovens
• Serve breakfast dishes promptly while maintaining high standards of food quality and presentation

Experience

• Previous dietary department or dietary aide experience is highly desirable
• Proven culinary experience in fine dining or restaurant settings, with a strong foundation in food preparation and cooking techniques
• Experience in food handling, safety procedures, and sanitation practices within the food industry
• Skilled in menu planning and meal preparation for diverse dietary needs
• Excellent knife skills and proficiency in food service operations
• Background in catering or large-scale food service environments is a plus
• Familiarity with kitchen equipment operation and maintenance is preferred
