Breakfast Cook

Job Summary

Lula B's Breakfast, Brunch, and Bar is seeking a skilled and dependable Breakfast Cook to join its busy kitchen team. This position is responsible for preparing breakfast and brunch dishes to order while maintaining food quality, consistency, speed, and a clean and organized workstation.

Responsibilities

• Prepare eggs, omelets, pancakes, waffles, French toast, breakfast meats, and other menu items.
• Follow recipes, portion standards, and plating specifications consistently.
• Operate grills, griddles, fryers, ovens, and other kitchen equipment safely.
• Prepare ingredients and stock the cooking station before service.
• Work closely with servers, food runners, and other kitchen staff to complete orders efficiently.
• Monitor food quality, freshness, cooking temperatures, and presentation.
• Maintain a clean and organized workstation throughout the shift.
• Follow food-safety, sanitation, and temperature-control procedures.
• Assist with opening, closing, prep, and kitchen-cleaning duties.
• Help maintain proper ingredient rotation and minimize food waste.

Qualifications

• Previous breakfast cook, line cook, or restaurant kitchen experience preferred.
• Strong understanding of breakfast cooking techniques.
• Ability to work quickly and accurately during busy brunch service.
• Good knowledge of food-safety and sanitation standards.
• Strong teamwork and communication skills.
• Dependable, punctual, and able to work independently.
• Ability to stand for extended periods and lift or move kitchen supplies.
• Food-handler or ServSafe certification is a plus.
• Availability for mornings, weekends, and holidays as needed.

Lula B's Breakfast, Brunch, and Bar is an Omaha breakfast and brunch restaurant located at 902 Dodge Street in the Downtown/Capitol District area. The restaurant serves a broad breakfast and brunch menu and operates primarily during daytime hours.

Pay: $18.00 - $22.00 per hour

Expected hours: 32.0 per week
