Job Overview

We are seeking a friendly and attentive part-time Breakfast Host to join our Pickering House Team. This role is essential in providing a welcoming and efficient experience for our guests during our Brunch hours on Saturday and Sunday from 8am-1pm. The ideal candidate will excel in in-person customer service, creating a positive atmosphere that encourages guest satisfaction and loyalty. Previous restaurant experience is preferred to ensure smooth operations and excellent service delivery.

Duties

• Greet guests warmly as they arrive, ensuring a friendly and inviting environment.
• Assist guests with seating arrangements and answer any questions about the breakfast menu or restaurant offerings.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the breakfast area, including tables, counters, and serving stations.
• Refill items as needed, ensuring food presentation is appealing and stocked appropriately.
• Monitor guest needs throughout their breakfast experience, providing prompt and courteous service.
• Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely preparation and replenishment of breakfast items.
• Handle guest inquiries or concerns professionally, striving to resolve issues promptly.
• Uphold safety and sanitation standards in all areas of the restaurant during breakfast hours.
• Assist the servers to help with bussing, food running and side work.

Qualifications

• Prior experience in a restaurant setting or food service environment is preferred.
• Excellent in-person customer service skills with a friendly demeanor.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
• Strong communication skills to interact effectively with guests and team members.
• Dependable and punctual.
• Ability to stand for extended periods and perform physical tasks related to food service operations.

Pay: From $16.00 per hour
