​About the Role
​Fairfield Inn & Suites by Marriott is seeking a dependable, morning-oriented Breakfast Attendant to lead our daily guest breakfast operations. As the first face many of our travelers see in the morning, you will ensure our breakfast buffet is fresh, fully stocked, spotless, and delivered with standard Marriott hospitality.
​Schedule & Hours

• ​Shift Days: Thursday, Friday, Saturday, and Sunday (4-day fixed schedule)
• ​Thursday & Friday: 5:30 AM – approx. 11:00 AM / 11:30 AM (Service opens 6:30 AM)
• ​Saturday & Sunday: 6:00 AM – approx. 11:30 AM / 12:00 PM (Service opens 7:00 AM)
• ​Shift Duration: Approx. 5 to 6 hours per day
• ​Key Responsibilities
• ​Morning Prep & Heating: Bake, heat, and prepare brand-standard hot items, pastries, oatmeal, and waffle batter prior to opening.
• ​Service Line Setup: Stock and display cold items, fresh fruit, yogurts, juices, and Marriott’s signature coffee station.
• ​Active Maintenance: Monitor the buffet continuously during peak hours; restock food trays, utensils, condiments, and beverage carafes before they run low.
• ​Dining Room Upkeep: Buss and sanitize guest tables, clean spills promptly, empty trash receptacles, and maintain a tidy, presentable dining space.
• ​Guest Interaction: Greet guests warmly, assist with questions regarding offerings, and provide a welcoming morning experience.
• ​Breakdown & Sanitation: Wrap, label, date, and properly store food following ServSafe and North Carolina health standards; wash, sanitize, and dry all service pans and serving utensils.
• ​Prep for Next Day: Sweep and mop dining and kitchen areas, wipe down equipment, and restock dry goods and paper items for the following shift.

​Requirements

• ​Dependable transportation and strict punctuality for 5:30 AM / 6:00 AM shift starts.
• ​Ability to work Thursday through Sunday consistently.
• ​High standards for food safety, hygiene, and kitchen cleanliness.
• ​Comfortable standing, walking, bending, and lifting supplies up to 30 lbs.
• ​Prior hotel breakfast, food prep, or hospitality experience preferred, but on-site training will be provided for candidates with a strong work ethic.
