Job Summary

Join our breakfast team at the Courtyard New York Midtown West as a Breakfast Server Barista, where you will be the friendly face welcoming guests and delivering exceptional service to start their day! In this role, you’ll craft delicious non-alcoholic beverages, serve freshly prepared breakfast items, and ensure every guest experience is memorable. Your enthusiasm and attention to detail will contribute to a lively atmosphere that keeps our customers coming back for more. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to develop your food service and beverage skills in a fast-paced, customer-focused environment. Located inside the hotel 461 W 34th St NY NY. Must arrive promptly on time and ready to work.

Duties

• Prepare and serve a variety of non-alcoholic beverages including coffee, tea, and specialty drinks with precision and flair.
• Take customer orders accurately using POS systems such as Aloha POS , process cash and card transactions efficiently, and handle retail sales transactions smoothly.
• Serve breakfast items and light food offerings with promptness and professionalism, ensuring food safety standards are met at all times.
• Maintain cleanliness of workstations, beverage stations, dining areas, and equipment through regular cleaning routines.
• Provide excellent customer service by greeting guests warmly, answering questions about menu items, and accommodating special requests.
• Manage time effectively during busy hours to ensure timely order fulfillment and guest satisfaction.
• Follow food handling procedures diligently to uphold health standards and safety regulations.
• Guests can charge to their rooms it is vital we accomodate our hotel guests in any way needed

Qualifications

• Previous experience in food service or café environments is preferred; barista experience is highly valued.
• Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS for processing transactions accurately.
• Strong customer service skills with the ability to engage positively with diverse guests.
• Basic math skills for cash handling, making change, and processing payments confidently.
• Knowledge of food safety practices and proper beverage preparation techniques.
• Ability to multitask efficiently in a fast-paced setting while maintaining attention to detail.
• Must speak english.
• Excellent time management skills to ensure smooth service flow during busy mornings.

Pay: $17.67 - $29.72 per hour

Expected hours: 10.0 – 30.0 per week
