Burger Theory Katy Mills, located inside the Holiday Inn & Suites Houston West – Katy Mills, is hiring a Full-Time Breakfast Server & Bartender / Restaurant Server.

This isn't a position where every shift feels exactly the same.

You'll have the opportunity to work a combination of morning breakfast service and evening restaurant/bar service, interact with hotel guests from around the country, earn hourly pay plus tips, and become an important part of our Food & Beverage team.

YOUR SHIFTS

This Full-Time position requires flexibility to work a combination of morning and evening shifts.

Morning Breakfast Service

Approximately 6:00 AM – 10:30 AM
Breakfast Service: 6:30 AM – 10:00 AM

Evening Restaurant & Bar Service

Approximately 5:45 PM – 10:15 PM

Schedules may vary depending on hotel occupancy, restaurant business levels, and special events.

Weekend and holiday availability is required.

Additional hours may also become available as hotel and restaurant business levels increase.

WHAT YOUR DAY COULD LOOK LIKE

In the morning, you may be welcoming hotel guests, serving breakfast, keeping coffee flowing, and helping guests start their day with a great experience.

During an evening shift, you'll transition to restaurant and bar service—taking dinner orders, preparing and serving drinks, making recommendations, and creating a relaxed and welcoming atmosphere.

Your responsibilities may include:

• Welcoming guests with a friendly and professional attitude
• Taking food and beverage orders accurately
• Serving breakfast and dinner
• Preparing and serving cocktails, beer, wine, and other beverages
• Learning our menu and helping guests with food and drink selections
• Checking on guests throughout their dining experience
• Providing attentive service without making guests feel rushed
• Processing guest checks and payments accurately
• Following alcohol-service procedures and properly verifying identification
• Preparing the restaurant, breakfast area, and bar before service
• Keeping service areas stocked and organized
• Maintaining a clean and inviting restaurant and bar
• Completing opening, closing, and side-work responsibilities
• Following food-safety and sanitation standards
• Assisting teammates during busy periods
• Helping with dishes and other Food & Beverage duties when necessary
• Communicating inventory, maintenance, or safety concerns to management

Most importantly, you'll help make guests feel welcome and taken care of from the moment they arrive until the moment they leave.

EXPERIENCE

Previous serving, bartending, restaurant, or hotel Food & Beverage experience is preferred, but we're also interested in candidates with excellent customer-service skills and a willingness to learn.

The right attitude, reliability, and ability to connect with guests are extremely important to us.

Basic knowledge of cocktails and bar service is preferred. Training can be provided on our menu, service standards, and restaurant operations.

Certifications

• TABC Certification preferred or willingness to obtain
• Food Handler Certification preferred or willingness to obtain

Bilingual English/Spanish skills are a plus.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

Food & Beverage is an active job. Candidates should be comfortable:

• Standing and walking throughout the shift
• Carrying trays, dishes, beverages, and supplies
• Bending, reaching, pushing, and pulling as needed
• Lifting, pushing, or pulling up to 50 lbs. when necessary
• Working efficiently during busy breakfast and dinner periods
